Welcome Home
Recovery deserves more than a bed. It deserves a safe, comfortable home where every resident is met with hope, dignity and a sense of purpose.
Recovery is more than a business. It’s a calling.
“My name is Shawn Lessor, and my career has always been rooted in real estate development with a focus on revitalizing distressed neighborhoods and helping hardworking people live in homes they can truly be proud of.”
“Through years of charitable work, I began to recognize a major flaw within the recovery industry — too many organizations prioritize profits over the well-being of the residents they serve.”

Structure with warmth.
A recovery-focused environment built on clear expectations, real accountability, and genuine care — never clinical, always dignified.
We saw an industry that too often puts profits before people. So we built something different — a home where the resident comes first, and recovery is treated as a true calling.
What a structured home means here
Structure
Clear, consistent expectations that create safety and predictability — the foundation recovery is built on.
Community
A house of men supporting one another, sharing the ordinary rhythms of daily life and holding each other accountable.
A Real Home
Beautifully kept surroundings that communicate respect. Dignity is in the details — the made bed, the clean kitchen, the welcoming porch.
Recovery Focus
An environment that supports each resident’s own recovery path — meetings, work, service, and the habits that sustain lasting change.
Genuine Care
Run by people who treat recovery as a calling. We know residents by name and meet them with respect, not a transaction.
Purpose
More than a place to stay — a place to rebuild direction, restore hope, and rediscover a sense of purpose.

Meet Shawn Lessor — the man behind Hoosier Sober Living, and the reason it exists.
About Shawn
My name is Shawn Lessor, and my career has always been rooted in real estate development with a focus on revitalizing distressed neighborhoods and helping hardworking people live in homes they can truly be proud of.
Through years of charitable work, I began to recognize a major flaw within the recovery industry — too many organizations prioritize profits over the well-being of the residents they serve.
To me and my dedicated staff, recovery is more than just a business; it is a true calling. With the opening of The Hoosier Sober Living House, our mission is not only to provide safe and comfortable housing, but also to restore hope, dignity, and a sense of purpose to every resident who walks through our doors.
A home, not a clinic.
Sober living is residential housing for people in recovery: a stable, substance-free place to live with structure and shared responsibility.
